Wish I had come here first. It is pure malware and installs stuff in all sorts of places and can not be removed easily. Had to have it done at a shop for $40. Do not download.
So glad I came here first. Don't know where else to get tv shows....tryin to get off Direct Tv and their outrageous prices.
ALWAYS Research your software BEFORE you download it to your PC and install it I had a software invade tons of registry sections and was nearly impossible to remove

I'm hearing all of the negative reviews about this televisionfanatic.com and just wanted to ask, Has anyone considered using PlayOn from PlayOn.tv? I've been using it since 2009. Nearly 4 years this summer and have not had a single problem with it and I can watch just about any movie or tv show dating back to the 1930's via scripts by 3rd party developers that the makers of PlayOn endorse. And I watch the regular channels provided by PlayOn in addition to scripts by 3rd party developers. It may seem pricey for a one time payment for a lifetime license but with all the things you can do with PlayOn I got a full return on my money in about 3 months because I've been using everyday since 2009. Give it a try! There is a money back guarantee or you can pay for the yearly subscription fee.
I haven't used Television Fanatic a lot yet, but the download and installation was pretty easy.

Sarah uninstall it. it is malware. There are plenty of free streaming sites that you can use. Also most of the networks stream their shows usually 24 hours after the air time.

I actually was able to watch all the shows I wanted and was told when new episodes appeared

First, I typed in any site that I could watch t.v. on for free and found televisionfanatic.com. Then, just to make sure it was safe, I checked the reviews and found that it had a virus. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad must have gotten this virus since he can barely send e-mail. Took about two hours to remove. Had to search through registry and C drive and use at least 3 different virus scanners to make sure it was gone. We should start a lynch mob to go get these guys. Scammers and hackers should die.

Do not download. Adware hell. Impossible to get rid of because it installs all over the place under different names.

This site is the worst possible you open it in Chrome and then it tells you over and over you must download Chrome make no sense at all

This comment might not have good sentence structure, but if you can figure out that you need to add a little punctuation along with a little compassion, it can be understood. Why do some people need to put others down to feel superior?
These days I ALWAYS check reviews before downloading anything, and once again I'm so glad I did. Thanks all for your warnings!
Btw, regarding Norton, I'd never had problems on previous computers, but on my new laptop Norton 360 became increasingly unstable within the first few months. It seemed to involve a negative reaction between it's program & Internet Explorer which was simultaneously becoming more & more unstable, resulting in frequent freeze-up of both programs. After many attempts to 'fix' it and much research I found many others had similar problems and >>there was NO effective solution available!!<<
SO of course, I finally dumped N 360. I replaced it (again, based on much research & advice) with Symantic Internet Security. I know, I know, SAME company! But MUCH better product. I also added System Mechanic.
My computer is now much MUCH faster and more stable than it has ever been. It wasn't even this good right out of the box!
Its a pretty well known fact that Norton has issues with Windows 7. Just use a different antivirus. I use the free avast, and ive only gotten 2 viruses in 2 years. I travel very high risk sites daily though, so I think its definitely worth a shot.

I use the free Avast and have never had a virus or malware and I also travel a lot of risky sites.
If it is not a good site Avast will tell you not to download.
avast is a great program to us i use it all the time and installed in in a few pf m,y friends puters and they love it
The newest version of Avast is great! It even tells you when you need to update other critical programs.
this is not real even though norton says it is safe, go to norton and read reviews. its a mistake. also i downloaded televisionfanatic.exe and i got the google redirect virus i had to spend 30$ to get removed using malwarebytes and a rootkit removal.do not download this!!!
you could have removed yourself and used malwarebytes and saved $30
but malwarebytes wouldnt find the rootkit...and i did use malwarebytes too!
Great site if you don't mind it stealing all personal information while you watch an movie. Small price of giving your address book and email password in exchange for a decent show.
If you give away your passwords, you deserve everything you get!

I deserve all I get.
It brought in a keylogger on a couple of customer's PC. They found out about it when all friends started getting emails that they did not send. I love people that look to be cheap and stay away from paying reputable sites and want to have "MyWeb" add toolbar then pay me to clean the mess. Hulu.com has never given a problem and has all the TV one would want
There are several sites to stream and all are safe. Like Hulu - Crackle - Quickstream - Project free tv - Couch Tuner Tv - also netflix
THANK YOU. i am a subscriber to netflix. but I guess the only thing i don't like about it, or better stated, what I wish I could do on it, is watch more current shows, like watch a show that aired the previous day. HOWEVER, I wish and would love if there was an application, or something, that allowed you to watch same day shows, ........ (not counting apps like dtv/comcast/xfinity....that you have to have their service at your house, alone with other specific things set up to make possible) I used to have comcast/xfinity, so I did have their app on my phone allowing me to watch select shows/episodes, based on my package...but not same day stuff....maybe there is one out there, without having to be a customer of a specific television provider... that will allow same day shows to be viewed......if so , and anyone knows, (fee or no fee, doesn't matter, for that i'd pay the fee for the app (on phone or computer) ... please post to let me know. and if nothing is out there like that right now, HOPEFULLY, it'll be possible in near future... if any useful knowledge of even that.... id appreciate feedback on "near future possibility of......) AND LAST, thanks for your few suggestions Michael, I'm gonna check the couple that I hadn't heard of out.....and again, if anyone cares to, please let me in on some info, regarding what would make me so so so so so ...."happy happy happy" (for all duck dynasty fanatics, I'm sure you appreciated that last touch there) hehe ..... I'm confused here. It appears that some of these reviews may be for Televisionfanatic and others TVfanatic and some may be mixed up. The same goes with thepiratebay. Look at their address differences. TVfanatic and Televisionfanatic are seemingly different altogether but I don't want to find out the hard way so am avoiding both. I've heard good things about Thepiratebay but can't seem to find the correct one (one is '.com' and the other '.org' or something. I tried it and apparently got the wrong one and ended up with a mess. For now I'll stick to Crackle although their selection is limited. At least it didn't take over my 'puter!

I been using Avast its always come good for me, get the Avast Free as well if you want to test I had Norton for about 10 minuets and was disapointed it could never remove a virus even if it found one and let me down whole sale. I use to packages really Avast to check for virus's and ad-aware just to keep an eye open for any nasties, I also use the rule of thumb advice, if its looks to good to be true then check for a review on Google 9 times out of 10 its "Trouble" with a Capital "T" good luck.
Also remember as soon as you hit the OK button alot of malware and virus by pass Virus software becuase you have OK'ed it at the start and deemed it to be OK so if you not sure be safe look for more advice on the net research it first before you trust anything.
