What would you say is the most popular website review site out there? This one? Or something else?
I just started using this website and came across another website similar to it that was reviewed as well. Which got me thinking....What is the most popular and widely used website review.... website... out there? Is it this one? I'm thinking no, but only because the forum is only two pages long lol. But who knows, I could be wrong. Just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on this.
the difference between sitejabber and other sites i think is that this one is funded by the national science foundation. they dont take businesses' money or advertisements. at least all of this is what it says on their press page or somewhre. also they actually put out articles for consumer protection although i haven't seen one in a while!!!
Kelly is exactly right. This website is publicly funded and cannot be lobbied or tainted by business interests. That's why I have supported it. Just my 2¢
And I'm not EVEN a liberal heh.
I gotta agree with Kelly and Frank, the fact that this website is not funded by business involvement or advertisement, gives it a great advantage of true 3rd party opinion.
As far as the popularity of review sites, come on, the question is kind of "politically incorrect", in a sense that you are on one of the review sites already. Asking this is alike going to Honda dealership and asking what other Japanese cars of equal or greater quality are available in my area? Some sales guys will giggle and say Totyota, but others will show you the door.
From the business perspective, all sites which show up in Google, and are prominently visible in search pages, with a star rating will be popular. Since Google is the main advertisement engine, and businesses are relying heavily on web discovery as a source of new customers.
There are many sites which Google is gracing with the star rating, and out of respect to SJ, I will not be posting those here.
As the most politically incorrect person I know (me), I don't mind throwing out a couple of things. I like ripoffreport.com, but it's not confined to just website reviews and complaints. Neither are most of the other sites. They represent a combination of complaints about all things both in cyberspace and brick-and-mortar. I got behind this site originally because it was informal and fun to clang around on. SJ is rather unique in a number of ways. Google will star a site but I know too much about the way they operate to be myopic and see the internet only thru my "google" eyes, that's for sure. Just have fun with this site, it's got an easy layout and you can actually help out some folks.
This is the first one I found in Google and to be honest I am to lazy to spend time searching for another - Seems really easy to use - Although one thing I did find was most of the websites I have looked at have not yet been reviewed, so I thought I would write a little review for each based on my experience however it does lead me to believe that there must be bigger (or more used) review sites out there than this one. Couldn't figure out why sites like Zavvi had no reviews? Surely there must be thousands of happy and unhappy customers out there.
http://www.complaintsboard.com/ Seems to give me the answers I was looking for when it came to questioning a website.

http://www.mywot.com is nice too.
For ratings and reviews, I have found that Google is the best for online ratings and reviews. It appears that they get alot of visibility and activity from users.
Google is not a rating site.
This site appears to have more intellegent people who are always willing to help you with anything they can. I cannot say which is the best site but I can say that this site appears to be more upscale.
