Socks with sandals or high heels

I've been noticing this recently. Socks and sandals were worn in the 70s and socks and heels were worn in the 80s. Maybe the current fashionistas can't think of anything new! lol

socks and sandals only belong on hippies. that's where it's expected. is fashion moving from seattle to new york city now? say it ain't so...

Really, really weird if you ask me. Why would you even consider wearing something like this. Yes, I do accept the fact that styles do mix together sometimes, but it is way out of order. Definite NO from me!

I think it works when you're 5'10", 125 lbs and it's not your feet that people are looking at. I can't really think of a worse fashion trend over the last years than this one...maybe Z Cavariccis

Socks with sandals are daggy. With high heels just get yourself a pair of stockings. You can get short stockings or stockings that sorta look like socks (with the overal shape) but just are as thin as stockings.

Aww, that sux that you all think that sock and heels arent cool, i have actually done it about twice just because i think its cute, and its only ok you do it the right way(you gotta use the right heels). Its kind of complicated, i feel that if you are going to do some weird trend that not everybody can pull off you're gonna have to go all the way and get your whole outfit (including hair and makeup) into the whole playful (as opposed to serious fashion) look.

I think this is why YOU're the fashionista with the boutique and not us...

But i do think socks with sandals is always a big fashion DON'T, and the heels with stockings is alot cooler/mature than socks with heels.

Ah, I see the distinction here. Because I used to know a hippie who always wore socks with his Tevas, and my eyes nearly bled every time I looked down at his feet. There are some looks, I admit, that are hits, but it might be about the way you exude confidence wearing it. Wish we could post photos on this forum - that way you could post one of yourself looking super fashionista, thus putting to shame the rest of us...
