Introducing the SiteJabber plug-in for social browsing

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

We’re excited to introduce the new SiteJabber Plug-in! Available for FireFox and Internet Explorer, the SiteJabber plug-in let’s you access forums with threads and reviews for each site that appears in your browser. Now you can follow the SiteJabber conversation on every website you visit.

The plug-in is small and lite so it shouldn’t affect the speed of your browser. Also, we don’t ever track or record your browsing (we think that’s creepy).

Hope you enjoy it, and happy surfing!

What is SiteJabber?

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

A number of you wanted to know more about SiteJabber - so here it is!

A bit of background:

SiteJabber is a community for reviewing and discussing websites. We originally started SiteJabber because we felt there wasn’t enough transparency around the quality of websites and the services and products they offer. Whether it’s a sketchy online dating service or a new website hosting company, we wanted to create an open environment where people could discuss the merits of these sites.

We hope you’ll find SiteJabber to be as useful and as much fun as we do. In particular, we hope that you will be able to:

Learn from the experiences of the SiteJabber community!
* Research websites to see if our community has commented on them
* Find the best sites by topic (we vote on them)
* Root out online scams (grr…we hate scams)
* Ask questions on any website (we like to help!)

Tell us how you feel!
* Tell us if a website has screwed you over
* Share the sites you love
* Participate in existing conversations and start new ones

If you’d like to read more about SiteJabber or learn about the team, you can read more on the SiteJabber About Us page.

Welcome to SiteJabber!
